It's a family-led project based in A Costa da Morte, Galicia, Spain.

We restore and manage holiday homes set in natural surroundings; we continue a family business dedicated to garden and vegetable growing supplies since 1935; and we design and curate a selection of high-quality handcrafted pieces for a more natural home.

Everything stems from the same place: a direct relationship with the land, materials, and time.

Homes that welcome you

Since 2013, we have been restoring traditional houses and transforming them into holiday homes.

Our aim is simple: when you travel to Galicia and choose one of our houses, you should feel as though you are in your own home. We know that this feeling is irreplaceable — the comfort of being in a place that welcomes you effortlessly.

Each house is different, yet they all share the same spirit: respect for the surroundings, honest materials, timeless design, and a genuine connection to nature.

A Legacy of More Than 90 Years

Later, we incorporated into the project our agricultural and garden supply store — a business started in 1935 by our grandmother Dorinda, when she was still very young, trading in the main markets of the region.

For more than 40 years, our parents, Jesús and María, continued to run the business, becoming deeply valued throughout the area forfor their dedication and professionalism.

Today, that legacy continues in Carballo, guided by the same philosophy: quality products, personal attention, and a genuine commitment to local development and sustainability.

From our homes to yours

That is how VILANOVAA SHOP was born — a small and carefully curated collection of pieces originally designed for our homes and now shared more widely. Many are created in collaboration with Galician artisans and are meant to last, to accompany daily life, and to grow more beautiful over time.

Atlantic Notes — Sharing Galicia

After years of recommending places, restaurants, and routes to our guests, we decided to create Atlantic Notes, our travel and lifestyle journal.

Here we share our guides, recommendations, and discoveries across Galicia — from A Costa da Morte to the rest of the region.

Atlantic Notes is an open window onto our Galicia, for those who wish to travel slowly, discover what is authentic, and experience the territory with the same respect with which we live it.

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer our guests the opportunity to stay in our holiday homes, located in natural settings across A Costa da Morte, providing a peaceful retreat while remaining close to everything.

In Carballo, our physical store preserves the experience of traditional commerce: high-quality products selected over three generations, rooted in genuine knowledge of farming and vegetable growing, many of them produced by us.

We also offer a small collection of handcrafted pieces designed by us, many created together with local artisans, made to last and to accompany everyday life. The collection is available online and in a dedicated space within our Carballo store.

And we share Atlantic Notes — a space where we write about territory, architecture, vegetable gardens, and Atlantic ways of living.

THE TEAM

VILANOVAA is led by two siblings, Eva and Roberto Vilanova, both engineers and third-generation custodians of a family business rooted in Galicia since 1935.

The project is made possible by a strong network of local suppliers and artisans — farmers, carpenters, stone restorers, potters and ceramicists, weavers, engineers and architects — whose expertise and collab oration are essential to everything we do.

We are deeply grateful to them.
